Finishing up the First Season

Lots to do to finalize the inaugural season for the Herriman Wrestling team! We have had a great year so far and are doing some great things with the Jr. Mustang wrestlers as well as our freestyle/ Greco wrestlers! Thanks for all the support from parents, families and the community! We cannot say enough about how much this means to this program!
If you have any questions about the 2 leagues please don't hesitate to email: d.dupaix@herrimanhigh.org

As for the high school team, here is what needs to happen in the next few days:
1. Turn in bags, headgear, warmups and any other equipment you were checked out

2. Remove your belongings from the Varsity locker room

3. Come help with the little league! The schedule is posted on this site!

4. Come help with the little league meet at HERRIMAN on Feb. 23rd from 4-9pm. We need to set up, score, ref, and clean up the gym. This is the final step to lettering on the wrestling team!

5. RSVP for the banquet with Coach Jar ASAP! Talk to Coach DuPaix if you have questions

Please contact me with any questions!!

Herriman Jr. Wrestling Club UPDATE!!

Just a couple things:

We are extremely excited by the response shown by the Jr. Mustangs, parents, and community! We have some good little athletes in the area! The future looks bright!

We will be starting a second section for the club based on the numbers. We want to run a professional program and give all the Jr. Mustangs an excellent opportunity to get appropriate training during their time with us. The following times will take place starting WEDNESDAY:
K-4th grade will begin at 6:00 pm
5th-9th grade will begin at 7:00 pm
We will still be holding signups for the club on Wednesday. If you know anyone looking to join or that missed the practice on Monday, please let them know!!!

First Week Come and Gone!

First week of practice turned out to be a huge success. We are working hard work and everyone got better this week!
We finally got our mats in! The team worked hard to get these into the school (See below).
We also held our first Parent/ Coaches meeting and had a great turnout. You could feel the excitement and enthusiasm in the air and the community is definitely behind us! Along with this, we elected our captains for this inaugural season:
Jake Mcmillin, Zak Hewitt, and Zak Thorum.
These three young men are great examples to our team, have a great attitude and work ethic and will be great leaders for the Mustangs!
